Charlotte Street – W1 – CGI vs Real comparison

Another CGI building comes to life in central London. Although this was only a redressing of a historic building in London’s iconic Fitzrovia, we were happy with the level of realism achieved.

The original photograph was taken while the building was covered in scaffolding. This created a challenge in that it not only obscured the proposed facelift, but also obscured the neighbouring buildings. This meant that along with camera matching and compositing the proposal, we needed to ‘paint in’ the parts of the neighbouring buildings hidden by the scaffolding.
